WIN! A Brief History of Time |

We have 5 copies of this fantastic 20th anniversary edition of Hawking's classic to give away.
It’s now 20 years since Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History Of Time hit the bookstores. Bantam Press has now published a 20th anniversary edition, which is on sale now priced £15. But you could be lucky enough to grab one for free, as we have five copies to give away.
The book that started it all. A Brief History Of Time, was launched at the Royal Society in London on 16 June 1988. The first draft had actually been received by Bantam Press in the summer of 1985, while the second was complete in spring 1987. Hawking’s editor famously warned that every equation would halve sales. In the event, he included just one: E=mc2.
This hardback was published by Bantam Press in June. While it’s unlikely to be the last incarnation of A Brief History Of Time, the 20th anniversary provides a chance for a new generation of fans and science students to catch up with Hawking’s seminal work. Interestingly, the price hasn’t risen with inflation – at £15 it’s the same price as it was in 1988.
